BuyerForesight Events Concierge (BEC) – Research & Insights Specialist

Summary

Full-Time Position – Kolkata, Bengaluru

We are looking for a Research & Insights Specialist (Concierge Hub) who will be a part of the BuyerForesight Events Concierge (BEC) Team and the Hub sub-division. BEC plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional experiences and enhancing the overall satisfaction of BuyerForesight clients and participants at every event program hosted by BuyerForesight. As a Research & Insights Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in supporting event planning and execution by conducting thorough vendor research, maintaining databases, and providing timely and relevant information and recommendations to clients & internal stakeholders.[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a concierge/event research or data research role. Given the evolving nature of our business, we rely on our associates for flexibility and foresight while maintaining confidentiality related to high-level processes and operations. BEC sub-divisions are:

  1. Concierge Hub
    a) R&D
    b) Event Planning
  2. Concierge FinOps
  3. Concierge Travel & Admin

Key Duties and Responsibilities: (other duties maybe assigned)

The primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth functioning of the  Concierge Hub by providing quick turnaround on all requisitions &  continuously building an ongoing database.

Research

  • Conduct thorough research to identify and continuously update a comprehensive database of vendors for various event needs.
  • Organize the database by country, major cities, and regions to facilitate easy access and retrieval of information.
  • Perform digital vendor exploration to browse online platforms, websites, and forums to identify new and upcoming venues/vendors in the assigned region.
  • Watch virtual venue tours or online reviews to gather a sense of the space and its offerings.
  • Input new vendor details into the BuyerForesight database, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Regularly update vendor entries with any changes, such as renovations, pricing adjustments, or changes in services.

Local Culture Exploration

  • Compile & maintain a repository of local and regional cultural information to aid in understanding the sentiments and nuances of each location.
  • Create & maintain a database of associations, seasonality trends, moderators, hosts, and speakers relevant to event planning.
  • Stay updated on cultural events, festivals, and celebrations to incorporate into event planning when relevant.
  • Research cultural traditions, customs, and preferences to provide cultural insights to clients and tailor event experiences accordingly.
  • Develop a rich understanding of local city dynamics, touching upon facets like culture, prominent industries, transportation, and unique attractions.

Requisition TAT

  • Ensure prompt response and quick turnaround times in providing information and recommendations from the internal database and research inputs.
  • Act as the first point of contact for responding to inquiries on any  vendor type, rates, location/regional/vendor intelligence.

You should have

  • 5-6 years of experience in data research, preferably in the events or hospitality industries, or equivalent experience in vendor acquisition, research/event management, or travel/event operations.
  • Ability to work with global requirements in multiple time zones, multi-cultural teams and a high-pressure environment.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace/Drive, Zoom Conference & Microsoft Office.
  • An analytical mind and the ability to form insights based on every data point gathered.
